Federal Student Aid

Federal Student Aid is financial assistance provided by the U.S. Department of Education to help eligible students cover educational expenses at an approved college or career school. Types of federal student aid may include grants and loans

Southeastern Health and Wellness Institute is currently approved to participate in the following Federal Student Aid Programs under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965:

  • Federal Pell Grant
  • Federal Direct Subsidized Loans
  • Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans
  • Federal Direct PLUS Loans for eligible dependent students

To determine eligibility for Federal Student Aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at http://www.studentaid.gov

The FAFSA is used to determine a student's eligibility for all federal financial aid programs. Students may be required to submit additional documentation requested by the institution or the U.S. Department of Education in order to complete the financial aid process.
